Would like to rebuild the wood parts in my 1925 roadster. Does anyone have any idea where I can find plans?
Leon Parker sells some excellent wood plans for the various 1914 to 1927 open cars. His e-mail address is listed on his profile page at: http://www.mtfc a.com/cgi-bin/d iscus/board-pro file.cgi?action =view_profile&p rofile=leon_par ker-users I don't post e-mail addresses unless I have permission (I should ask him as your question is asked often.) I believe there are also some good photos of a 1925 roadster being rewooded on the Tech Section of the site you are now viewing. If you don't find them -- drop me a note and I will hunt up the address.
Good luck with your roadster.

I need top bow plans for a 28 series 72 Chrysler roadster. I couldn't find anythin about Leon Parker on the link. Can I get his EMAIL address? Chuck in NH
Don and Chuck and others in the future,
Leon’s e-mail used to be listed on his profile page – but the computer had a “hiccup” and it no longer is there. If you go to his posting at http://modelt.o rg/discus/messa ges/2/351.html? 1205810138#POST 424 which is an earlier posting on the MTFCI forum, his e-mail address is listed there. I try not to post someone’s e-mail addresses unless I have asked and obtained their permission (I should ask him as your question is asked often.)
Chuck – I don’t think Leon will have any plans for the top bows for a 28 series 72 Chrysler roadster.
I would suggest locate a similar car for example: http://www.pbas e.com/noyphoto/ image/132562769 and request measurements. Also finding a car club that supports them – AACA has members with them see the postings at: http://forums.a aca.org/f190/19 28-series-72-ch rysler-royal-se dan-242132-4.ht ml

Also try to find a Chrysler club – ref: http://www.hemm ings.com/clubs/ results.html?ma ke=Chrysler
Good luck – I’m sure you will be able to find some good information about them and possibly even someone who will duplicate the top bows.

I just restored a 24 Roadster. I got a rewood kit from the guy in Greensboro, NC. It was precut and good quality. Because Ford used 3 other body vendors than themselves, the kit required some fitting to make it work. My biggest problem was getting the cowl pieces to work without major whittling. the 25 roadster has steel support work in the cowl, so you may not have the problems I had. The kit can be bought from Lang's for about $1100. If I had to do it other, I would still do it the way I did it.
