To instal a new key tumbler in the ignition switch, how do I get the switch •••. out of the small chrome dash or do I just pry the tabs on the rear of the switch and change the tumbler from the back? Do I remove the rivets from the front and go that way?

if you can just take the back off and rebuild it from there, just pull the two crews and lay the switch out where you can get ahold of it, if your putting a repro tumbler you WON"T be pleased, as they are junk

Fred, you bend the tabs out to remove the innards. Be careful and only bend them just enough to remove the assembly as they are prone to breaking. After you get it out, anneal the tabs by heating them to a dull red and let them cool slowly. They will much less likely to break whem you reassemble it then. Dave
