I posted this last year and thought I'd try again. This was my grandfathers new car. If it is still around, I will give this document to the current owner.
Jeff
Neat document. That motor serial indicate that car was built Oct 11, 1923
Does close count?
I have a '23 block with #8124400 (mfg Aug 1, 1923, one of 7,012 made that day)
Have you gotten any responses with close numbers?
You are the first so far with a close number. What makes this more special is my father was born just 2 weeks after this car was purchased by my grandparents.
Jeff
That's something, so your grandad had to go out and buy a Touring car, to make room for his growing family!!!
Dan
Maybe what it looked like when new,.... a late motor number of Oct one would assume was the 'new' high hood style of T, that replaced the early '23 low hood model.
Thanks for the picture. I've been going through my dad's things and it's possible that I might find a picture of this car. The address listed on this bill of sale is actually my great-grandfath ers home which is still standing.
It is neat he was able to make 12 payments with no interest or service chg.
