I intend to use for my 1919 Touring a set of wheels that are not commonly found here in Sweden. They are non-demountable s in 30x 3 1/2,front and rear, but the felloe is steel and integrated with the rim. Thus, rim and felloe are spun in one piece of steel. They are fairly heavy. They are generally accepted here as being rarely used by Ford for the 1918 and 1919 model T. Can anyone give information what year they actually were produced, what company built them and if they are specified in any year´s spare parts catalog. Or, maybee, sold as an aftermarket product by an independent company.
Thanks!
I believe these were tried during the 1920 model year. They are not that common here either. As you say, they are heavier due to the one piece felloe/clincher rim design. The big problem with the ones we find here is that the rims tend to be bad or rusted away just as so many clincher rims are found. In this case however, if you can't repair the damage, the entire rim/felloe assembly is junk.
