Someone I know is considering purchasing a 1925 Model T Roadster pickup...we believe. It may be a roadster that was modified. It has a wood box. Its exterior is in fair to good condition with very minimal rust. The electrical system wires are shot but the rest of the electrical sytem is fine. The engine runs fne. The interior is in fair to good condition. Would anyone have any idea of the value?
Many roadsters were converted to pickups by the addition of a wood box such as you mentioned. Still, it sounds like it has prospects, and many folks enjoy driving these converted rigs. Ford's first foray into the pickup market was in late '24 ('25 model) with a steel box. Even a large number of these are roadster conversions since the boxes were available at the dealers. The factory built trucks are harder to come by.
Many roadster pick-ups were also created by hacking off the back of a touring car body and adding a box. Still a fun car but it does affect value.
