Hi guys:

Well I drew the short straw last year and got myself appointed to the Youth Auction Chair position for the Rapid City Tour. If you are coming to the tour yourself then please remember to bring along something for our auction (so I don't look bad). If you can't make it to Rapid City but could donate something hopefully of value for the auction, you can bring it to Chicasha, drop it at my space and I will haul it back home and on to Rapid City in July. Let me know if you have anything too big for my pickup truck. Our annual auction has funded several scholarships and is likely the best place you can donate something to get the most bang for your donation. Your donation can be tax deductible and I can get you a receipt if you need one. Just drop your items at my Chicasha space that will be shared with Bruce McCalley, Ron Patterson and Don Lang. Tag things with your name so I can know where things came from if I am away from the space and thanks for helping us in this worthwhile cause.

Hello T Drivers - My name is Steve Boyd and I am chair of the committee which is preparing for the 2011 national tour in Rochester, MN. John's comments remind me we need someone of similar enthusiasm and chrisma to volunteer to handle the youth auction in the 2011 tour. We have been defining the venue and will have a great room in the host hotel so that part is handled. I might even have a volunteer, professional auctioneer to handle the live sale event if we go that route. Is there someone who, at this relatively early stage, would like to commit to the very important assignment of coordinating this event? You can reply in confidence to modeltboyd@sire ntel.net. Thank you for considering this important job. Steve

John where will the auction be held- street address. I live in Hermosa south of Rapid about 17 miles and I have a number of things to donate. Plus, I'd like to set up and sell raffle tickets for a handmade-homema de patriotic quilt. $2 per ticket. The proceeds to Rapid City Police Dept K-9 unit for kevlar vests for the canine officers. Let me know if this would work.

When I last saw John at our May 23 Tour he had not yet been able to locate it, but believed he was pretty close.
